Alas, as I sit and write this I have 13 more hours of 'summer' until I report for work tomorrow morning at 7 AM. Therefore, instead of spending time writing, I'll just post a few highlight pictures of our fun little summer as it's days like these that give me something to look forward to in the middle of a hectic football season.
At this point, I'd also like to take this opprotunity to say to my wonderful husband, Andrew, that it's been awesome seeing you everyday, and I look forward to hanging out with you once November rolls along. (Please please please, HCHS football team DON'T make the playoffs). (no bitterness here...)

A nice day to visit Jamaica | |
|
Chile and Won Ton discovered that not only could they hunt squirrls, but also climb trees to hunt squirrls! |
|
Chris moved out! And bought us a fancy grinder to celebrate! |
|
I discovered my new favorite flowers were Gladiolas! |
|
Andrew discovered he could run 4.5 miles! He also discovered that I signed him up for a half marathon in Atlanta...ha! |
|
This is me after my longest run ever, 7 miles! Gotta love the stylish headband. |

This is my Nook (although those are not my hands), it is an e-reader and I've read around 15 books since May! Love, Love, Love!!! |
Although I don't have a picture for it, I'm proud to say that this is my 6th year teaching, practically a milestone for any band directors as a big percentage quit after their first year. Go me.
So anyways, its been fun!
I cannot believe that most band directors quit after their 1st year! That is insane...the one that I had in highschool has been doing it for 20 + years! Anyway, congrats on the great summer...Beca!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great summer. I hope this year is stress-free for you two. We have to keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteThe headband looks great. But it's the tongue coming out of your mouth look that is really all the rage right now. :-)
